Hijab Pin Care
Hijab Pin If you love your hijab pins, it’s easy to invest a small fortune in a collection, whether your passion is glimmering crystal pins or the sparking glass ones. Regard your hijab pin collection as an investment that needs your TLC.

Here are a few tips to give your hijab pins that TLC:

-Put your hijab pin on after applying perfume.

-Always handle your hijab pin on the stick pin surface only. Do not put your fingers on the stones or dangles. Even after you wipe off your fingerprints, residual oils remain and act like dirt magnets throughout the day.

-Buy a small, extra-soft toothbrush that you can use to clean your hijab pins. A mild soap and water solution used with a soft not scratchy brush effectively cleans as long as you rinse it thoroughly.

-Cleaners that contain abrasives – including toothpaste – can damage the hijab pins. Soap residue and hair conditioner, similar to lotions and moisturizers, do not rinse as thoroughly from your hijab pins as they do from your skin and hair. These oils will attract dirt, dulling the life of your stones.

-Use a mild unscented soap bar to restore the luster of the stick pin, just poke it through the bar a few times.

-Don’t soak hijab pins. Soaking weakens and stretches knotting fibers and glue and damages foil back rhinestones.

-When using commercial cleaners look for bottles or jars of jewelry cleaners that specifically say they are safe for costume jewelry. Read labels to be sure that the product does not contain ammonia, vinegar, acid or alcohol. These substances can be too harsh for your hijab pin.

-Keep a very soft cloth such as chamois that can be used to wipe your pieces and polish them to a shine.

-Always dry your jewelry after washing, because moisture can damage surfaces and cause them to rust or become pitted.

-Exposure to air and light helps create tarnish. Store your hijab pins separately in soft pouches or boxes so the pieces do not scratch each other.

-Keep your jewelry away from dust, which can be damaging to the pins.

With a few precautions your hijab pins will always look like the day you purchased them.

Please remember me in your duas and Inshallah I will continue in my humble effort to help the Muslim women cover elegantly.
